Signs your shower needs replacing, not repairing
- Water stains on the ceiling below an upstairs shower — the pan or its liner has failed
- Cracked or flexing floor, soft spots along walls
- Recurring mildew in grout lines no cleaner fixes
- Persistent leaks around doors and corners
- A stall so small it makes the whole bathroom feel dated
Replacement options
Most Tulsa shower replacements go one of two ways. Acrylic systems: a new base and grout-free wall panels installed over prepared walls, typically in 1–2 days — low maintenance, ideal against hard-water buildup. Tile rebuilds: full waterproofing, new pan and custom tile — unlimited design, several days' work. Both include modern valves, doors and fixtures; both can go low-threshold or barrier-free for easier entry. More on new shower installation.
